HiFi Road House
HiFi Road House was designed to fill the much needed void for a non-chain yet family oriented restaurant in Northwest Indiana. The extremely themed and playful concept directly reflects the eclectic menu and is as welcoming to kids as to late night bar patrons. Drawing inspiration from the colorful roadhouse diners that once peppered Historic Route 66,HiFi is full of open road themes and Americana. One of the many focal points is a hand painted sculptural road map of Indiana in the 50s constructed of wood and mounted on the wall. Hubcaps, car grills and photos of abandoned Route 66 filing stations are installed as a form of high art in this setting. Ingrassia Design worked with the architect and graphic designer to reclad the exterior of the charming, free standing building and create signage that dovetails with the interior.
